Vladimir Diaz-Ochoa, a graduate student from Dr. Manuela Raffatellu's lab, has been selected as the 2015 Graduate Hooding Ceremony student speaker. Congragulations!
Brett Hanson, a postdoc in the Tan Lab, won the Jane E. Raulston Award for best poster presentation by a postdoc at the Seventh Biennial Meeting of the Chlamydia Basic Research Society (CBRS 2015). The meeting was held in New Orleans from March 29 - April 1, 2015. Brett's poster was entitled, "In vivo transcriptional regulation of Chlamydia stress response," and described his work using chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) to study the regulation of chlamydial genes inside an infected host cell. A manuscript detailing the study is under revision for publication in Molecular Microbiology.
